Frome as usual is boasting some superb acts with the likes of Fleetwood Bac and Ruby Turner appearing at the Cheese and Grain in late March and early April respectively. The Merlin Theatre is hosting top comedian Jack Dee, while Jasper Carrot and Alistair McGowan share the stage in a night of stand up comedy and first class impersonations at the Memorial Theatre. The realm of dance and ballet also has its fair share of top performances with Gaelforce, the international Irish Dance Show and Twenty, celebrating 20 years of performing dance with award winning guest artists Jonathan Goddard and Oxana Panchenko.
Frome has recently been accredited by Walkers are Welcome, a community led initiative which promotes walking in towns with something ’special’ to offer walkers, and there are plenty of walks around the locale to choose from, including guided tours of the historic market town of Frome. Those wishing to enjoy some of the Somerset countryside and wildlife can choose from a range of footpaths, including two that run through The Lighthouse grounds out into the surrounding countryside. If you wish to bring the family dog too, The Lighthouse is dog friendly but please check with us first to ensure one of our dog friendly rooms are available before making a reservation.
Longleat Safari Park sees the arrival of some Australian superstars, two Koala Bears take up residence in Koala Greek at the latter end of March. The park also offers some premium visitor experiences, so if you are looking to book a special visit, why not top it off with a gorgeous night's stay at The Lighthouse to boot.
